Description Olaf Hering 2006-12-14 15:05:22 UTC
10.2, fresh install

yast does download alot of stuff from local and remote installation sources during fresh installation.
One would hope it keeps a local cache of all those things.
But appearently it just removes them after use.

If I try to modify the installation source order, to move remote sources to the end or disable remote sources, yast still attempts to get metadata from remote.
Maybe I have alzheimer, but didnt it just download a gigabyte of metadata?

The installation sources order is not supported (you've reported it in some other bug). About caching the metadata, it's probably zypp problem.

This is not reproducible. The files are downloaded if they changed. If you edit them (this includes changing order) this happens because YaST used to delete and readd them. 10.3 does not need to download metadata inmediately.
