Description Clinton Gormley 2006-12-15 13:40:16 UTC
Not much more detail than this, scrollkeeper-update segfaults as soon as starting it, with or without parameters

Suggestion

I had a segfault with scrollkeeper when trying to build an opensource app. It seemed to be that it needed a directory /var/log/scrollkeeper. I did mkdir /var/log/scrollkeeper then chmod 755 /var/log/scrollkeeper as root and that cured it.

Maybe this will help?

How are you launching scrollkeeper-update? We don't use this in gnome installations for suse any more.

It's a long time ago now, but I was compiling an application from gnomefiles.org, Revelation I think. Either that or Gnome Sensors Applet. It required scrollkeeper-update in its make (install? i think?) and scrollkeeper-update would segfault. It would even segfault when I ran it from the command line with no args. It still does, in fact.
