Description Seth R Arnold 2006-12-16 00:45:38 UTC
Sometimes I would like to download a package 'outside' of the package management tools. It would be nice if rug info <foo> would show the URL to a package, so that I could simply cut-n-paste the URL to wget. I would be quite fine if this is hidden behind a --verbose flag.

Thanks

Zenworks is no more part of opensuse...

In SLE10 SP2 implementing this would raise lots of debate. Suppose same package is available in many urls, then which one to show ? Suppose ZMD picks any one of the urls, then question is whether the url should be only from a subscribed source or not. Next question could be whether the local urls should be preferred of remote urls or not. This will be more confusing than the advantage the feature will provide. Thats why its better to show the fixed info about the package. Leave the decision to zmd to choose the url and download the package.

Marking as WONTFIX.
