You are right there is no possibility in YaST2 to actiavte and deactivate LVM VGs. So far there are no plans to implement that feature in YaST2. There are lots of features that can be done with LVM command line tools which cannot be done in YaST2. YaST2 contains the tasks mostly needed by an user not all possible tasks. Covering everything possible doing with LVM command line tools with YaST2 is not planned and will certainly not be possible with current manpower. Sadly :( But if I'll write an LVM manager for YaST this summer, will it have a chance to be included? The decision about inclusion of additonal packages into openSuSE core is done by product management. |
