I'm reworking the networkstatus layer in KDE 3 at the moment, using the new design for KDE 4. The problem can be reproduced using NetworkManager, this is because it is not following the expected series of state transitions (Connected->Disconnected->Connecting->Connected) - it skips the Disconnected stage. I can workaround this in the networkstatus client library though and fix a few more bugs on the way. Submitted The new system uses the autoconnect setting to govern whether to try to stay connected. |
