Description Richard Bos 2007-01-22 20:00:04 UTC
From bugreport: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=231618#c4

The USERCONTROL variable worked with smpppd and kinternet and NM does not seem
to respect it (yet). Please consider forking a separate report about it for
Tambet Ingo.

Timo?

I hope the description is sufficient, if not please let me now.

NetworkManager does this intentionally, PolicyKit/dbus could provide restrictions.

For autostart, re-assigning to timo.
Comment 2 Helmut Schaa 2007-11-28 16:50:41 UTC
Is this still true in 10.3?
Comment 3 Richard Bos 2007-11-28 18:51:29 UTC
Dunno. I don't have a good 10.3 setup that can be used to verify this bug.
I have now a system with 1 wireless card and a fixed ethernet port.
The wireless card should of course be controlled by the user....

Most likely working in 10.3 -> WONTFIX.
If this issue appears again, please reopen.
