Description Michal Svec 2007-01-25 14:22:26 UTC
It would be good if lists in patch descriptions are actually displayed as lists instead of compound together, like ATM:

zypper online update to fix the following bugs:

- search does not show installed packages (bug #224673) - error message when trying to install an already installed package (bug #224129) - inappropriate error message if package integrity check fails (bug #224216) - missing notification if no update sources are configured (#226067) - zypper patches shows duplicates from different sources (#223844) - show a comprehensive message when another instance of ZYPP is running when zypper is being started (#227073) - fixed to be compatible even with krpmview in cases of errors (#223795)

Or we should use normal sentences in the description (although lists are nicer for overview and thus preferable).

If the correct format is used, this should work out of the box. The format is the same as for package descriptions. See also

If only that format were used...

Harald, maybe it's time to tell people those rules once more.
Comment 3 Ruediger Oertel 2007-02-28 12:08:16 UTC
these format extensions were never defined for patchinfo files.

the code in the patch-engine is definitely broken. Everything should
be wrapped to 60 columns and paragraphs should be preserved.

Rudi, is this still an issue?
Comment 5 Ruediger Oertel 2008-11-05 15:31:04 UTC
not that too many people ever cared, downgrading.
