Description Lukas Ocilka 2007-02-28 17:00:47 UTC
Because of the bug #245506 (enhancement) yast2.rpm no more requires SuSEfirewall2 package. This package is checked and installed (if user decides so) in SuSEFirewall::Read() function call.

Please, do not offer any Firewall-related functionality to user when the package is not installed, e.g., changing the Firewall zone for the interface. This is the same for both running system and installation - the only difference is that installation doesn't offer to install the package but running system does.

Use boolean SuSEFirewall::SuSEFirewallIsInstalled() available in yast2-2.15.15.
