Probably another duplicate of Bug #211314. Add ' Load "dri" ' to your xorg.conf (Section "Module") as workaround for now. BTW, you won't have much fun with GoogleEarth with your Savage card. As long as you want to use GoogleEarth without hardware acceleration (which is the current configuration), you won't have fun with it on *any* hardware. Check your config file, whether dri is already included (you didn't attach it), and tell us. Created attachment 123330 [details]

Load 'dri' was missing from the original xorf.conf. Adding 'Load "dri"' to the module-section solved the problem.
Running google earth on my savage-card does not really make fun, however, a XServer-crash is even less funny...
