Description nicholas tung 2007-03-14 18:58:18 UTC
I like the idea of using YaST instead of having to find and edit apache .config files, but

1.) YaST should print the location of the file, if manual editing is necessary / preferred (/etc/apache2/default-server.conf)
2.) YaST should be able to add the "Directory" entries. If you try to type in "Directory", it says that there is already one.

What you mean by "manual editing is necessary" ? An example ...
Comment 5 Cristian Rodríguez 2007-04-17 16:05:23 UTC
I think if yast can create <Directory> Sections they sould be placed one-by-one in
/etc/apache2/conf.d/absolute-path-to-dir.yast.conf each one in a separate file.
manual edit should not be neccesarry nor reccommended "This file has been generated by yast on $DATE do not edit, if you want to edit it, rename to absolute-path-to-dir.conf and yast will ingore it"..

That's my suggestion. ;-)

I don't understand meaning of this.
Why we need to separate editable/non-editable files with this really strange way?
Again: In 10.3 (or last factory source) there are possibility to change Directory location, you're not satisfied with that?
Comment 7 Michal Zugec 2007-05-09 11:53:13 UTC
as comment #2, "Directory" request fixed,
first one I don't understand, no response from requester
Comment 8 nicholas tung 2007-05-09 21:39:17 UTC
"manual edit should not be necessary nor recommended"
sure, forget #1, as long as you fixed #1.
