Description Dénes Mátételki 2007-04-03 07:16:05 UTC
Hi,

YaST in network card configuration, sometimes forgets the default gateway field, and it turns to empty.

way 1. I'm not sure how can I do it again, maybe the networkmanager/ifup change makes it, or maybe other, but it accurs often, when I do some modification with network cards.

way 2. with no configuration changes, but with network manager, if i connect to my home wlan, I had to issue:
route add default gw ...
every time.

Yes, that change is the responsible of your problem, I had the same "issue" once.

Im not sure if this is really a bug or the expected behaviour (quite annoying if expected though =) )

I did not succeed to reproduce with NetworkManager/ifup change, but I've definitely reproduced by switching previously unconfigured device to DHCP configuration and indeed, default route is gone.

Closing NOREPSONSE, due to missing information. Please retest on openSUSE
11.0 and create a new bug report if the problem still persists.
