No ZJ-Stream driver can be free software because ZJ-Stream requires JBIG (for example foo2zjs has JBIG included in source code and rastertokmXXXXdl requires a JBIG library) but JBIG has patent issues, see http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/jbigkit/patents.html *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 214599 *** For more details regarding JBIG and in particular regarding HPLIP and ZJStream printers, see bug #342704. Meanwhile I have a ZJStream printer HP LaserJet 1020 and with HPLIP 2.7.10 it works o.k. for me, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187049 |
