Description Scott Couston 2007-04-17 17:49:37 UTC
The option to receive system email sent to /var/mail/USERNAME is offered during installation.

Can you please consider adding an option to the Miscellaneous selection of Yast to
Turn it off or on.

I understand it is probably a simple command, however it would go to the usability of being able to turn on or off "Receive System Email"

You could perhaps include options to receive additional alerts such as the security reviews the system can issue and probably other currently and in the future the system can provide.

I understand you do want to limit the size of Yast menu's which you have already rationalized, however this would be a relatively simple addition together with a help side screen of how to configure your mail client to receive them.

The question of how to receive them must haunt yourself s and the mailing lists for just about every new user.

I think this would be a valuable contribution to user ability of open suse and relatively easy to incorporate even at this late stage of alpha3.
