Yes, currently it's only possible to configure the RFCOMM daemon, but you cannot change /etc/bluetooth/rfcomm.conf configuration. It seems LATER is the current status == "after 10.3" The yast module has been dropped in openSUSE-11.0, BT configuration is done using the desktop applets now. This should be done in GNOME's Bluetooth Applet then.. Reassigning to GNOME maintainers... Tambet, Seife I think this basically: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432774 Correct? Yes, from a cursory read of the bgo bug. Yes. Is that the end of the flagpost ? Still not working in 11.1! i'm afraid that the linked bug deals with bluetooth PAN devices, while this bug says that it's impossible to GUIfically configure bluetooth-based modem. which is still true, AFAIK. desired functionality is to be able to create a modem connection in NetworkManager with the modem being a rfcomm device DUN support was added to gnome-bluetooth/NetworkManager recently (it's all in Factory), see http://blogs.gnome.org/dcbw/2009/07/10/unwire-with-networkmanager/ To me, that's all we need, so closing as FIXED. |
