The first row in GNOME Application browser is Applications. But I don't consider actions like Lock screen or Logout as application and would not search those things there.

When running on Ubuntu these appear under system tools, so this is a matter of updating the category of corresponding .desktop files.

lipec@frappr:~$ grep Lock /usr/share/applications/*
/usr/share/applications/gnome-screensaver-lock.desktop:Name=Lock Screen
lipec@frappr:~$ grep Logout /usr/share/applications/*
/usr/share/applications/gnome-session-kill.desktop:Name=Logout

Ladislav,
Do you still see this?
Comment 4 Ladislav Michnovic 2008-03-25 16:16:19 UTC
I see them in section System now. openSUSE 11.0 Alpha 3
Comment 5 Magnus Boman 2008-03-25 22:25:13 UTC
Ok. Closing as per Comment#4. I don't see logout as an app in 10.3 either anymore.
