Description peter czanik 2007-06-29 11:21:54 UTC
During installation, when a new installation source is being created, use of an IP address does not work. When I enter a perfectly valid IP address (192.168.2.52) I get the following complaint:

"A valid domain name consists of components separated by dots. Each component contains letters, digits, and hyphens. A hyphen may not start or end a component and the last component may not begin with a digit."

While it's the correct description of a domain name, in a SOHO network there is rarely a correctly setup local DNS server, so IP addresses are used in most cases.

Please make sure, that one can also enter an IP address as ServerName.

'URL' works fine with IP address.
