abort msg
ok, the hamradio etc will disappear before the releaes. We'll only add repositories we have control of. And the Factory repository was broken at the time you installed alpha7 - the final release will register the (static) FTP Tree of 10.3 and such problems won't exist (hopefully). So there is nothing left to fix from what I can see I think all UI complaints are left ;-) That's 2/ and 5/ . Asking the user to click "continue" in case he wants to abort does not sound right to me. Issue 1/ is probably a philosophical issue. 1.) I wouldn't add yet-another popup there...
You can always simply go back and unselect the check-box (which will remove the repository from used ones). And we're currently controlling the content so I don't see any need for that.
2/ There is an inconsistency with the label text in ycc ("Additional Product
Repos") and the YaST dialog title ("List of External Repos"). As the YaST
title, also use "Additional Product Repos".
2.) Labels probably need to be unified. Currently, I have no idea how :(
5/ If you click [Abort] in "List of External Repos", this confirmation msg box
is confusing. If you ask about "aborting" use "[Abort]" as a button label for
aborting, and [Continue], if the user is meant to continue with the
configuration. The [Cancel] button must go away.
Clicking on [ Abort ] button opens this dialog:
------------------------------------------------
Really abort the installation?
If you abort the installation now,
Linux will not be installed.
Your hard disk will remain untouched
[ Abort Installation ] [ Continue Installation ]
------------------------------------------------
You'll get exactly the same dialog all over the installation (first stage) because it uses unified function for that.
5.) -> WONTFIX / INVALID (If you file it just for the 'Repos...')

I installed the KDE 1-CD product from machcd2 as built on Monday (something like alpha6/alpha7). In general, that's a very nice feature. 1/ Will we finally ship a predefined list of "External Repos"? If yes, we should add a more detailed description about the source of this list. "Web" oder "Internet" is not good enough. I'd even vote to add an additional warning very early. Maybe, as follows: a) The user clicks "Additional Product Repos" in ycc. b) Display a warning message: Warning ======= You are about to add software repositories from the Internet. Novell is not responsible for the contents of these repos. Do you want to continue? [Abort] [Continue] c) in case of [Continue], start the module and offer the list for selection (as already done). 2/ There is an inconsistency with the label text in ycc ("Additional Product Repos") and the YaST dialog title ("List of External Repos"). As the YaST title, also use "Additional Product Repos". 3/ I can add "FACTORY Hamradio". IIRC, once done, the dialog just disappears. Consider to a success msg. 4/ I cannot add FACTORY (OSS). Maybe, my computer lacks memory. So, please warn the user. I'm going to attach y2log. 5/ If you click [Abort] in "List of External Repos", this confirmation msg box is confusing. If you ask about "aborting" use "[Abort]" as a button label for aborting, and [Continue], if the user is meant to continue with the configuration. The [Cancel] button must go away.
