By using kdenetwork3-InstantMessenger-3.5.7-35.i586.rpm under openSuSE-Factory I found that meanwhile protocol retuns "No authorization" failure during login. 

In gaim(pidigin) there's an option "Hide client identity" that solves the problem. Pls. include it in kopete protocol plugin options too.

The meanwhile plugin is unmaintained upstream and we don't have resources to fix it.  Please report this upstream at bugs.kde.org, maybe someone will take pity on it.
