1) which one is the problematic device ? (sdb/sdc ...) 2) attach output of lshal 3) also update ConsoleKit and be sure that it is running before HAL 4) remove the hotpluggable media, start 'lshal -m', insert the media/USB-stick and wait some seconds, attach the output 5) you should may check /dev/sdc1 (the device with NTFS), the filesystem is dirty (due to /var/log/messages) 1.Problematic are all devices.Cd/dvd, usb keys and external disk connected via usb. From my cat/proc/partitions sdb is usb key sdc is external disk attached via usb 3.When i updated HAL and PolicyKit, ConsoleKit was required, so the last version 0.2.1-41.1 was installed. 5.What do you exactly mean "dirty"?Do i have some bad/fault blocks?I use it in openSUSE 10.2 via ntfs-3g driver for reading/writting without problems. By the way, after installation the newest version of HAL,PolicyKit and ConsoleKit, PolicyKit disappeared from System services(Runlevel). In openSUSE 10.2 was there. Is it correct, that PolicyKit is missing?Consolekit is something as PolicyKit, but newer? This is very strange.I've been trying dvd and all devices worked quite well until i upgraded hal, policykit and installed consolekit from your repo.(...home:/dkukawka:/hal-beta/openSUSE_Factory/).Then all devices stopped work. When i attach usb keys or data cd/dvd, i'll get: Error - Konqueror hal-storage-mount-removable no <--(action, result) When i insert audio cd, i'm not able to play it, because Kaffeine whenever crashes and i can't open it in a new window, because i'll get message: Devices doesn't have read permissions for this account.Check the read permissions on the devices. Okay, this is an other problem in KDE. It's bug #298943. I duplicate the bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 298943 *** |
