I would say almost all .desktop files are affected as those containing translations have lines such as "#SUSE-Overwrite Name[de]=Translation" (all in in one line). Where must we fix this? In the YaST desktop files? I'm afraid the format change to gettext 0.16 broke this. So this needs to be fixed in update_desktop_files. If you can't find the problem, let me know and I'll try to fix it *** Bug 299632 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I guess untranslate.pl does not remove the magic string. But I do not know how to fix this. I need your help, please. this has nothing to do with untranslate.pl - the translate script does not work as it should I'm afraid The new format needs to be translated to the new format when transferred from SVN->tar->mo thanks for debugging! ------------------------------------------------------------------- Tue Aug 14 13:22:09 CEST 2007 - ke@suse.de - Adjust PREPARE_PACKAGE to create the old inline format; debugged by Stephan Kulow [#299607] - Update translations. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Submitted to /work |
When the system is set to a non-English language, YaST icon strings ("Online Update", "Software Management", ...) aren't translated. /usr/share/applications/YaST2/*.desktop files don't come with the translations in them.
