Description Klaus Kämpf 2007-08-13 08:16:25 UTC
While testing current 'stable' (dist.suse.de/next-i386) a repository setup problem occured. All the YaST popup tells me is
"Failed to initialize the repository. Try again ?"
with a Yes and a No button.

The y2log shows "Required file missing: suse/setup/descr/packages".
Comment 2 Stanislav Visnovsky 2007-08-13 09:10:07 UTC
Klaus is pointing out that YaST does not provide information about the root cause of the problem.
Comment 3 Stephan Kulow 2007-08-13 09:12:20 UTC
The actual problem is a pure autobuild problem. But that's not the point of this bug.
Comment 4 Ladislav Slezák 2007-08-13 14:42:02 UTC
Fixed in yast2-packager-2.15.59
Comment 5 Ladislav Slezák 2007-08-16 13:05:24 UTC
Another fix is in yast2-pkg-bindings-2.15.43 - history of exceptions is returned in Pkg::LastError() result
