This is a pretty new one. Probably GeForce 8XXX based (G80 family).
This is something for NVIDIA to check. It doesn't make sense to use the nv driver for this chip, if it doesn't work. Therefore I switched to fbdev driver for this chip for now. Still you can use the NVIDIA driver of course. *** Bug 304059 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Roland, can you reproduce this issue and open a ticket in the NVIDIA bugtracking system if applicable? I added this patch to the nv driver of openSUSE 10.3 RC1, but I'm not sure if it will fix the issue.
