Description David Hodgson 2007-08-17 09:25:03 UTC
I find synchronisation between yast2 installation sources and zenworks fails often. Correcting this is a real pain - slow and has highest success rate at night. (The problem seems to stem from unavailability of installation sources, and the different ways different parts of the suite react to this and to timeouts.)

A command line tool which would:
1) delete any zenworks services / catalogs which aren't synchronised with yast2
2) add (synchronise) into zenworks any active yast2 installation sources which aren't in zenworks.

This I could schedule to run at night, and would do nothing if all is OK. If there are problems, it will fix them progressively. If it overruns, it could be safely cancelled and rerun without harm.

It would be a major help!

Thanks
David

Such sincronization do not exist anymore, as Zenworks is no longer part of openSUSE releases... this (mis) feature is gone in openSUSE 10.3.

According to comment #1 I'm going to close this bug report as INVALID.
