Installing a package with zypper currently includes no way to monitor the progress of the package being downloaded. This becomes an issue when the file is large and there is no way to tell whether the download is stalled or not. Please consider adding a progress monitor to zypper.

jan : I agree , this can be very confusing. it urgently needs such progress dialog IMHO.
