Error Failed to initialize the repository on the Initializing Installation Catalogs screen.

X86_64 pc amd opteron
I re-tried several times got this same result even though i could see the DVD access light flashing on the retries.
DVD is on /dev/sr0

I then got the logs by using Shift-F8 y2logs.tgz saved to /tmp/ 
I got to the console (Ctl-Alt-F2)
The 'mount' command showed no output at all.

copied output to usb key ( mount -t vfat /dev/sdb1 /media/usb)

Question: Can you include in the error message that is produced, as to why initialize the repository fails at this point, to help clarify in what is causing the failure ?

I also checked the DVD media was ok, it was checksums are ok..

The mount of DVD media proceeds well, but copying the data from it to the cashe fails at the end.

Please close this one as I migrated to 10.3 beta 2, I had similar issues in 10.2 Beta 2 as well https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=303859
