Notice, the card is found correctly in nm-tool, but not displayed in nm-applet.

Additional note on /var/log/NetworkManager -- last night, when I first installed iwl3945-ucode (the firmware part) the wifi card popped up in nm-applet and worked (even with keyring-manager) -- but after reboot it didn't work again. I'm seeing this issue also. nm-tool has the interface marked as inactive and nm-applet doesn't display anything related to that interface, but if I manually use iwconfig to set the essid to associate with a unencrypted network, I can then run dhclient and get working internet access. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 303834 *** |
