This happens not with all mails, but with the one in the attachement.

Ok, sorry. This bug is invalid.

After looking at my attacements I noticed, that the quoting was correct. However the editor was scrolled completely down so I could not see the top of the mail.

Actually I would call this scrolled down editor as a bug. Is that an intended behaviour?

No, it's so you can type where the cursor is.  If you want to top post edit the reply template and move the CURSOR element.
