Description Rusty Howell 2007-08-29 16:26:42 UTC
When configuring and testing NTP, a message window pops up with a success or error message. The message window looks exactly the same either way and the user has to carefully read the text in order to know the status.

There should be an icon along with the text that lets the user know the outcome of the test. Perhaps an exclamation point icon for the error message, and a green check mark for a successful test.

Does this look any better? ;-)

Looks beautiful :)
Comment 6 Rusty Howell 2008-03-11 17:31:56 UTC
How about an icon for the success message too? :)

Not-very-nice dialog proposal

I'm afraid that with current set of icons available in yast, this is the only dialog I can come up with.
I don't particularly like it. The fact the test succeeded is 'information' (therefore the blue 'i' icon), but I'd rather see some 'green tick' as for 'success' icon there

Fixed in yast2-ntp-client 2.16.5

I agree that a green check mark is preferable, but I guess this icon will do.

Thanks anyway.

Maybe we should add a proper check mark (success) icon to yast. I'm sure there are many modules that could/should use success and error icons in their dialogs.
