The prefix of the files in the bundle-lang-common-<lang> and bundle-lang-gnome-<lang> packages has been changed to /usr/share/gnome/help-bundle/ and /usr/share/locale-bundle/ (and /opt/kde3/share/doc-bundle/ for KDE help) to avoid file conflicts with the <app>-<lang> packages (for background see bug 302270).

glibc contains already a patch (glibc-2.3.90-langpackdir.diff) for message lookup so GNOME may has not to be modified in this regard but it has certainly has to be changed in at least yelp to look for translations/help files in the new if it is not found in the standard locations.
