During setting time in the very early set time/timezone dialog you can use
NTP as option to setting the actual time. It take the setiings from DHCP if present.
I use DHCP for delivering a NTP server address, the address is numeric (10.23.200.9 in my case).
YaST popups an error: "Invalid server hostname".
If I change the address manually to a name, it got accepted, but I think it should also accept numeric addresses in this field.
I do not think logs are required here, but if you need some please drop me a note.
