Description Stephan Binner 2007-09-09 16:12:29 UTC
When dragging and dropping a folder (from Nautilus) onto the "Computer" task bar icon then it gets added as favorite document within the "Documents" tab. I would expect folders to be added to the "Places" tab.

Welcome to *nix, where everything's a file. ;-)
Comment 3 Stephan Binner 2008-04-06 07:28:12 UTC
Still happens on today's Factory Live-CD.
Comment 4 Federico Mena Quintero 2008-04-07 15:27:59 UTC
This happens in gnome-main-menu/main-menu/src/main-menu-ui.c:panel_button_drag_data_rcv_cb(). It should detect URIs that are folders and add them to ~/.gtk-bookmarks.

Bug still present in 11.4 M4

Moving bug to current version.

(changed during the 2010-11-27 bug day about bugs for obsolete versions of openSUSE)

Sorry for the spam. I'm mass-closing gnome-main-menu/slab bugs: gnome-main-menu has gone unmaintained upstream because it's not usable in GNOME 3, and is not shipped since 12.1. I don't expect any maintenance updates for it in 11.4 either.
