Description darren winter 2007-09-11 02:32:47 UTC
i have been using kmail starting with beta 1, thru beta 2 and had absolutely no problems. in fact, i was finally considering switching over to it permanently.

now in beta 3 it crashes all the friggen time. most of the time i get no error message at all. i will try to run mail from a terminal for awhile to see if i get any errors there.

anyway, most of the time it just crashes all the way out with no errors. and the worst part is that it is totally random. sometimes it crashes if i tell it to check in all mail. sometimes it crashes if i try to click the button to start a new email message. this particular time i was trying to move read emails to my manually created "read" folder. this time it spit out an actual error:

basically, the only way i can actually use it right now is to start it up, check messages - then make sure as hell i close it all the way so i can actually use it again later.

uh... guys...

why the hell are there over almost 100 "bad" kio_pop3 events in kde system guard when running kmail?

even though kmail crashed, the gui was gone, but kmail was still a running process as well.

what is going on?
