Description Stanislav Brabec 2007-09-12 15:20:16 UTC
Each first message from one user to another one is silently discarded, but GUI behavior looks like a standard message delivery. If user A sends only one request to another user, it is lost and user B seems to be not responding.

Consequent messages are delivered.

Tested with traditional network and pidgin version 2.1.0.

How to reproduce:

1) Set up two bonjour accounts on two machines.
2) User a sends to b: "Hallo aaa."
3) User b does not see anything.
4) User a sends to b: "Hallo again aaa."
5) User b does gets only "Hallo again aaa."

And then again:
6) User b closes window.
7) User a sends to b: "Hallo aaa third time."
8) User b does not see anything.
9) User a sends to b: "Hallo aaa fourth time."
10) User b does gets only "Hallo aaa fourth time."

ok, running pidgin 2.1.1 and the libdaemon from bug 309132 I cannot reproduce this. However the setup seemed very touchy with NM if I was running a VPN.

Stanislav, please retest with beta3plus, which has pidgin 2.1.1
Comment 3 Stanislav Brabec 2007-09-14 13:37:32 UTC
Seems to work with both NM and classical network with pidgin 2.1.1.

Changing to component GNOME. Sorry for the spam.
