Is this sufficient, or should I elaborate?

If would be nice if you could extract your English related comments and attach them here.  I'm not sure whether the following command is good enough:

Oh, and while I'm at it ... these four entries starting at line 2794:

and the accompanying notice:

were a real pain you-know-where to translate. In fact, in German (and a few other languages as well) the translation of those sentences would vary depending on whether %1 is "logical volume" or "partition", and the translation of the terms "logical volume" and "partition" depends in turn on which of the two phrases they are to be inserted in. I spent a lot of time trying to find words that actually sound like German in all four combinations, and the result is still ugly.

Please avoid that kind of phrase fragmentation if at all possible. Stating these as four separate, complete phrases which can be translated properly each by itself doesn't cost that much.

Something for "later".  Thomas, I hope you can make use of it.

Fixed all these up except the last one on in comment 3.

I also know no better description and better to use some text that is also
used somewhere else than to try invent something new and possibly also not 
understandable.
This option will only be used by someone with experience with mount command
anyway, so he should at least be able to understand to which mount option
the field refers if the same text is used.
