Description Thomas Leske 2007-09-18 10:49:21 UTC
The y2log is in the attachment for Bug #325629
The package that I do not want to be updated is dar-2.3.3-tl2 (that I build myself).
Comment 1 Ladislav Slezák 2007-09-20 10:52:42 UTC
Missing support in libzypp?
Comment 2 Michael Andres 2007-09-21 08:19:24 UTC
@Thomas: The resolver checks the packages 'vendor' field, and will not automatically replace a package with one of a different vendor. So unless
the vendor string you used in your specfile starts with 'suse' or 'opensuse',
you have to confirm any replacement (except the case where you manually select a different dar version).

@Duncan: You started to implement permanent locks. But AFAIK it still depends on the application using zypp, whether the locks are applied? It's not done by default?

Thomas, the locks are not supported by the UI yet. You can manually lock packages using /etc/zypp/locks file and adding package names (* supported) even capabilities like
kde* < 3.5
