Description Johannes Meixner 2007-09-19 14:27:05 UTC
I installed openSUSE 10.3 RC1 i386 on x86_64 hardware.

I liked to have a static network setup during installation
but several things failed:
- got no dialog to set the default gateway
- got no dialog to set the IP address
- got no dialog to specify nameserver and search list

Later I run the yast2 network setup but
- /etc/resolv.conf was not written regardless that I had entered
nameserver and search list in the matching YaST dialog
- there are two places (i.e. two different dialogs) to enter
  the host name

Hm, there was a bug refactoring in network code.
But I suppose it works fine in GoldMaster, right?

Works o.k. in GoldMaster.
