Description Justin Haygood 2007-09-22 14:52:00 UTC
Since the GNOME 1-CD doesn't ship with the Bluetooth software, it has to be setup in YaST. However, when setup in YaST, bluetooth isn't added to runlevels 3 & 5 by default.

Solution: When bluetooth is installed or configured in YaST, bluetooth should be added to runlevels 3 & 5 by default.

Well, you don't need to start the bluetooth service during boot explicitly. When the bluetooth support is enabled in yast (this is the default setting) then the service is started automatically by udev when a bluetooth adapter is plugged-in.

So you don't need to configure anything, just install the bluetooth packages (bluez-*) and plug the bluetooth adapter in and that should be all.

Try telling my laptop that :)

The modules get loaded at boot (since the bluetooth adapter is integrated into the system), but the service only started getting run at start when i changed the runlevels in the "system runlevels" applet in yast.
