Now tried to install using the gigabit interface: mv643xx_eth is not even found or loaded by linuxrc, I had to load it by hand. Then ran into the next problem: linuxrc tries to acquire an IP address by DHCP only for eth0, not for eth1, so I had to configure IP manually. Increasing severity, as this second problem might affect any machines with multiple ethernet interfaces... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 300613 *** |
Created attachment 174528 [details] yast2 logs The second eth interface of Pegasos PPC not found by YaST. The VIA-rhine is found and works nicely. On the other hand, the Marvell Gigabit interface is not listed on the network setup screen. Once I log in to KDE, it shows a popup, that the ethernet interface is found, and starts up 'yast2 lan', which does not list the interface.
