Description Fred van Zwieten 2007-09-29 09:58:11 UTC
I have some weird behaviour here. I have setup things up to suspend on lid close (a nx7400 notebook). If I close the lid the first time after startup it suspends. After resume from there, if I close the lid again, it wont suspend, it just blanks the screen. When I open the lid again, my screen comes back. If I close the lid again, is does suspend. if I open the lid after that it resumes ok (screen up, password dialog). This keeps repeating. Every second time I close the lid it suspends. The first time not. If I monitor this with tail -f /var/log/pm-suspend.log the occasions where suspend is not successfull, nothing is logged.

Welcome to the twilight zone :-)

Are you using GNOME or KDE?

O, sorry, I'm using a fresh 1CD KDE and64 10.3 RC1 install (but I noticed it too in earlier versions).

I have the same behaviour here on a Samsung P35 using KDE. I am using 10.3 final after an update from 10.2 with the DVD.
