when i do a nfs install i don't get the option to change the network settings
Describes what i exactly mean by "the proxy setting cant be adapted"
I cant find an option to change the network settings when i use NFS. I also cant set an fixed ip address when i don't use dhcp. Not in the "grub screen" nor later in the settings. How exactly are you starting your installation? What options do you pass to the kernel in the boot screen? Do you press F4 in the installation screen and select NFS? What do you mean by a NFS proxy? <quote> How exactly are you starting your installation? What options do you pass to the kernel in the boot screen? </quote> I don't pass any options to the kernel i only do a setting via F4. <quote> Do you press F4 in the installation screen and select NFS? What do you mean by a NFS proxy? </quote> Yes via F4 is select NFS. I mean a proxy server in the network. Not a proxy for nfs. Proxy settings like below (is an example): http_proxy=http://192.168.99.99:3128 ftp_proxy=http://122.168.99.99:3128 https_proxy=http://192.168.99.99:3128 no_proxy=localhost, 127.0.0.1 A proxy setting is needed for updates and extra reposities during the intallation if your not allowed to direct access the internet, only via a proxy server. You can do all of that using linuxrc options. For more information please see: http://en.opensuse.org/Network_Install and http://en.opensuse.org/Linuxrc In your case you should look for options like "proxy", "hostip", "netmask", "gateway" and "nameserver". Therefore I'm lowering the severity to enhancement. I've created a feature request: https://features.opensuse.org/305841 Added proxy & network config dialogs. |
