Attachments: Long lines in the YaST Online Update

Description Magnus Anderson 2007-10-16 10:36:42 UTC
Problem:
When you show details for packages to update you get the description of the patch on one long line.

Solution:
Read window width and break lines after that.

I'm not sure which window do you mean. Could you attach the screenshot?

Long lines in the YaST Online Update

Here you can see the bug where the YaST Online Update displays the information for the highlighted package with one very long line. It should wrap the text in the window.
Comment 3 Jiří Suchomel 2007-10-22 07:07:14 UTC
It's not YaST Online Update, it's gnome applet I believe.
Comment 4 Joerg Kress 2007-10-22 14:13:49 UTC
Au contraire!

This is the YaST Online Update module. I keep it assigned to me and check with Thomas whether this is an issue with the gtk version only.
Comment 7 Thomas Göttlicher 2008-02-26 14:14:56 UTC
Qt isn't affected. Reassigning to gtk maintainer.

Ricardo, could you look into it, please?
Comment 8 Forgotten User h13THG8RK1 2008-02-26 16:26:44 UTC
Looking at the code from 10.3, it seems like that widget is also writable, so the user is free to break the text himself. ;P

This doesn't affect the current code. I don't know if the yast-gtk update fixed this, but it can't be relevant, because surely this doesn't warrant an update.

Magnus: thank you for the report. If you'd like to upgrade yast-gtk to the SVN version, checkout comment 10 from bug #352206.
