Description Axel Braun 2007-10-24 08:23:47 UTC
KMail is configrued with five filters, four of them belonging to spam filtering using bogofilter.
When Kmail downloads and filters new mail, the application is frozen completely. Even while writing new mail during this time, characters are not displayed on the screen while typing, instead they appear once in a rush suddenly. Scrolling in the mail window etc. is not possible as well.
I noticed this behaviour already on SuSE 10.2 (using KDE 3.5.7 as well), on 10.3 it is the same. On a 10.0 installation it does not occur, although the settings are the same (cloned user directory).
Any chance that you can do something on this?

I saw another bugreport about ionicing spam filter processes, will see if this is the same issue. The difference between SUSE versions is probably down to the kernel.
