Description Jose Torres 2007-10-30 18:18:34 UTC
When I attempt to logout of GNOME from the menu, GNOME appears to ignore my log out request. In other words, my GNOME just does nothing. I am aware of bug #302316 and I tried to use there workaround but I still have the same problem. I've tried libssui-tool --logout, but all I get is all my windows lose their title bars and just hangs. Both conditions I have to do a ctrl-alt-backspace everytime. But my logout problem does occur under KDE. Is there anything I should look at in the time being. Thanks!!!

Does or does not occur under KDE?

I can logout under KDE.

I see the the same bug with gnome in 10.3 If I login just after reboot, I can logout just fine from gnome. But when I login again, gnome will ignore the logout request. The session info seems to be saved, but I cannot logout and <Cntl><alt><backspace> is required to end the session. If I login to another window manager (twm), and then log back into gnome, the first logout works and but again subsequent logouts fail.
