Choose YaST Control Center -> Security and Users -> User Management -> Edit. This brings up information on the selected user under "Existing Local User".

If the root filesystem is full, then on clicking the "Details" tab, an error message pops up which says "Username may contain only ...".

I am able to view the details without problems after freeing up some space on the root filesystem.

Perhaps all error conditions are mapped to this single message?
