update view summay screen

In the attached screenshot of the "update summary" view it says that it's about to install kdbg and xournal, as automatically bringed packages because of dependencies. These two packages show every day I try, and neither are installed:

  cer@nimrodel:~> rpm -q kdbg xournal
  package kdbg is not installed
  package xournal is not installed

However, the view of the patches display (screenshot also attached) shows a very different list of packages that are in fact going to be installed: kernel, poppler, xpdf, etc.

You can see that the right hand panel, that should display the details of the selected package is empty - this I reported separately a moment ago as Bug #340896.

I forgot to save a solver test case this time, but I can do so.

This worked correctly in 10.2. System was upgraded from 10.2 to 10.3 recently.

I forgot to create and save the resolver test case logs for this one. However, from the date I know the y2logs logs are those for Nov 10, and you already have the logs of Nov 13 on another report. Will that do?

Sorry that this time I don't have more exact information. My fault.

patches view of same, after check button was pressed

I have more info.

These two screenshots:

Screenshot-YaST2-Installation_Summary - 20071129 Bug 340898
Screenshot-YaST2-patches - 20071129 Bug 340898.png

show the initial situation. These other two files:

Screenshot-YaST2-patches__view_after_check - 20071129 Bug 340898.png
Screenshot-YaST2-Installation_Summary_-_View_after_check - 20071129 Bug 340898.png

show the same YOU session, but after I pressed the check button. You see that the situation is radically changed: two files have disappeared from the summary view, and those that should be there are there now.

This time I do have the resolver test case saved, for both situations, available on request (I have to convert them to bz2 to reduce size or Bugzilla will reject them). Ie, I have two tgz.

I hope this info clarifies the situation better :-)
