Description Charles LLandemaine 2007-11-12 14:12:16 UTC
When I open the Software Installer in Gnome, I minimize it while it retrieves the repository information (it takes around 5 minutes). I use Firefox in the meantime to check my mail, and the Software Installer pops up everytime there's a new event. For instance it is minimized, I'm reading my mail, and suddenly the Software Installer shows a "Retrieving RPM database" message. I minimize the window, and then again in 5 seconds, it pops up with a "Downloading..." message, then I minimize it, and it pops up a few seconds again with "Retrieving RPM database", until it's done. It's annoying. When it's minimized, it shouldn't pop up all the time.
