Description Harri Miettinen 2007-11-14 17:56:23 UTC
Hi,

Since I installed openSUSE 10.3 (32bit) I have had problem with
dvbscan. When I try to scan channels and make channels.conf file it
gives me error message "Unable to query frontend status"

This problem has been reproduced with different machine (openSUSE 10.3 64bit) using different TV-card so th eproblem is not only in my machine.

Here is the output:
harmie@pluto:~> dvbscan /home/harmie/.kde/share/apps/kaffeine/dvb-c/fi-HTV
Unable to query frontend status

Kaffeine works without problems I can scan channels and watch TV with
it. This worked in openSUSE 10.2 without problems.

Here is some info from my system:

The "dvbscan" program is now named simply "scan" and works as expected. Give that a try.

Thanks! This works now with this new command
scan /home/harmie/.kde/share/apps/kaffeine/dvb-c/fi-HTV
