Description Axel Braun 2008-01-14 17:28:52 UTC
I used to print to a Canon printer on SuSE 10.2. The ppd was original from canon, uploaded to YaST, worked perfectly.
Now I switched to 10.3, and wanted to install the same network printer, using the same ppd I used before.
Result: Lots of nonsens 'validations', with the result that the ppd was not uploaded.
I installed the printer via the Cups-Frontend (localhost:631), incl. uploading of ppd, works perfectly, but no chance to do this via YaST.
