Description

I just installed rc7 and then upgraded to rc8 both get the above message. I am using a SBLive card. It works fine under 10.2 and 10.3. I get exact same error as above. When I look at /etc/modeprobe.d there are no sound entries. I went thru YaSt2 to try and install and thats where I get the above error message. I get the same error too on my ThinkPad T60p saying that the module snd_hda_intel could not be loaded. This is not true, the module is already loaded and if I use alsamixer to raise up the PCM and Master Volume Levels, the sound on my system works fine. So the problem is only, that the soundcard can't be configured with YaST2. Indeed, after enabling volumes the sound on system works fine. So I guess it must not be a driver/kernel problem but a configuration/yast problem Can you please attach YaST logs for YaST developers, see http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs/YaST ? Thanks! y2log
I tried again to configure sound just before creating the y2log
Please next time remove NEEDINFO status after answering question by selecting "This comment provides..." checkbox. Reassigning to maintainer. Now it's OK with alpha2. Just the volumes need to be set correctly in kmix Please, provide yast logs from alpha2. It's working for me now with Alpha3. Thank you for the feedback, I'm closing the bug as FIXED. |
