See comment 23 in bug 246934. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 246934 *** Hi .. I humbly disagree on closing this issue :-) first i was not reporting a bug but an enhancement- if you think it is a bug then that would NOT refer to https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=246934 .. its related - but not a DUP! This is not about some major recoding of yast , but simply telling all qt-popup-windows to have an identifier with a "YaST2"-Prefix .. IMHO this is a miniman change .. that would IMO especially make workfeeling with compiz more userfriendly - there i can choose a window to be focus or not - as i like - but in any case the individual identifier of a windows is needed - and IMHO for a system app there shouldnt windows without a name ;-) AND : ITS AN ENHANCEMENT-REQUEST :-) - so please dont close it at this moment :-) Reassigning to developers, to show their opinions on this issue. See http://wiki.compiz-fusion.org/WindowMatching#Winrules and http://wiki.compiz-fusion.org/Plugins/Put BTW, new yast 1-click and sw_single modules will not have many pop ups anymore. Maybe we can do some nice trick with the WM_CLASS property of those windows. Simply prefixing them all with "YaST2" might be counterproductive for other window managers: E.g., KDE's kwin/kicker displays the window title literally in the task list. Prefixing them all with "YaST2" would clutter that display with information that is of little use there. Does this apply to the GTK UI? Moving to feature database |
